FL5-400: How do I configure a module after relocation or replacement within the display?

  • How do I configure a module after relocation or replacement within the display using a FLR5-400 key fob?

Environment

Steps

Please follow the below steps in order
 

  1. Power cycle the structure of gas prices displays. Leave them without power for 30-60 seconds. (Optional. But strongly recommended)

  2. Press and hold both the ALT and EDIT* keys until the displays blank and the first menu item appears.
    Note: See this article for details how to navigate the Menu: FLR5-400: How do I access and navigate the key fob menu? . In general, the ✓ button is used to enter a menu or save a setting. The X button is used to back out of a menu and exit the main menu

  3. Go to Configuration in the main menu and enter it.

    1. The display will count up the modules in the structure. Verify it counts up the correct number.

    2. Use the ◁ and ▷ keys to cycle through the available display sizes.

    3. When the border matches your display size, press the ✓ key to accept. The border will then move to the next display (if it exists) or exit. You must verify the borders are right for all the gas price displays in the structure.

  4. Go to Cycling in the main menu and enter it.

    1. Enter #Frames

    2. Chose how many frames you want and save it (✓).

    3. Back out to the main menu (X).

  5. Go to Content and enter it.

    1. Use the ◁ and ▷ keys to navigate to the gas price display in the structure with the new or moved modules. Press ✓.

    2. Select Price.

      1. Use the ◁ and ▷ keys to set which price number you want it to show and then save. (Repeat if there is more than one Frame configured).

    3. Under Content, use the ◁ and ▷ keys to go to Font and enter it

      1. Verify we are still only adjusting only that one price display we worked on.

      2. Use the ◁ and ▷ keys to cycle through the fonts and press ✓ to save the one you want.

    4. Under Content, use the ◁ and ▷ keys to go to Format and enter it

      1. Verify we are still only adjusting only that one price display we worked on.

      2. Use the ◁ and ▷ keys cycle through the decimal locations and 9/10's format. Press ✓ to save the one you want.

    5. Back out to the main menu.

  6. Go to Dimming and enter it

    1. Go to Mode and enter it.

    2. Verity its set to AUTO and press ✓ to save it.

    3. Back out of Dimming to the main menu.

  7. Back out of the Main Menu to see the prices. Verify they all look correct and we can change a price on them without issue.

  8. Calibrate the module or module(s) if needed: FLR5-400: How do I calibrate my display?

  9. It can take up to 3-5 minutes for the modules to officially save our changes. It is recommended to wait at least 3 minutes and power cycle the gas price displays in the structure once again. Then verify everything works.
