VFC: Adjust brightness limiters on the VIP

Steps

  • Login to the VIP using the web interface.
  • navigate to the Configuration, the wrench icon in the left column.
  • Click on Brightness.
  • Adjust Day settings.
  • Adjust Night settings.
  • Click on Save.

The following options will be dependent on the customer needs.
  • Day Minimum Brightness - This is the lowest brightness that will be allowed during the daytime hours.
  • Day Maximum Brightness - This is the maximum brightness that will be allowed during the daytime hours.
  • Day Start Time - This is the time the brightness will be able start moving up from the minimum brightness. It can be set to negative or positive time if you want it to reach the levels set before sunrise or a set time of day. Negative means it will reach the level prior to the selected time and positive will start after the selected time.
  • Day Transition Duration - This is the amount of time that the VIP will start the brightening before getting to the minimum day brightness level.
  • Night Minimum Brightness - This the lowest brightness that will be allowed during the night time hours.
  • Night Maximum Brightness - This is the maximum brightness that will be allowed during the night time hours.
  • Night Start Time - This is the time the display will be at its minimum dimming levels. It can be set to negative or positive time if you want it to reach the levels set before sunrise or a set time of day. Negative means it will reach the level prior to the selected time and positive before will start after the selected time.
  • Night Transition Duration - This is the amount of time that the VIP will start the dimming process before getting the minimum brightness level.
