How to change IP on Diagnostics Management Card (DMC) for an LS-1000 display

Environment

  • LS-1000 displays
    • SBC (Single Board Computer)
    • DMC (Diagnostics Management Card)
  • Laptop computer
  • DMC Test tool program

Steps

Note: The DMC test tool is located on the SBC, in this location C:DakConfig:Test:DMC-Test-Tool
  1. Using your laptop computer.
  2. Plug cat5 cable into the ethernet port on the DMC card. 
  3. Change the Laptop's IP address on your local area connection to be within range of DMC cards ethernet port's IP. The default IP on the DMC card is 192.168.0.101. 
  4. Type 192.168.0.101 into your web browser. 
  5. Enter the user name and password.
  6. You may need to contact Daktronics helpdesk for the log in information. image.png
  7. Once logged in you should see the menu below.  Select Network under configuration. image.png
  8. From the menu below you can now change the IP address to what you need for your specific network.  The below image is used as an example. image.png
  9. Once IP settings have been changed, click on Apply and reboot the device to save the changes. 
  10. Test that you can get to the Digi port with the new IP address.
