SportApp: Content Installers Crash Before Finishing Installing

Potential Symptoms

  • After clicking "install" on a content installer, the progress bar starts moving but then the Installer crashes.

Environment

  • Product: Live Book
  • Component:  Content Installers
  • Control System: AJT Systems a Division of Daktronics

Cause

Possible Cause #1:
  • Sport App, Camino, or the Insert Graphics Support Guide is open.
Possible Cause #2:
  • The Unzipped folder name has a "(2)" or some other number at the end of it.

Resolution

Resolution for #1:

  • Be sure to close all programs (including internet browsers) before opening the Content Installer to run it.

Resolution for #2:

  • Delete or move old unzipped versions of the content installer that are in the downloads folder. Right click the newest zipped content installer that was just downloaded from the Dashboard and select 7-Zip > Extract Here.

  • **Note** renaming the previously unzipped folder and removing the "(1)"  will not work. It will need to be unzipped again.
