VIP Registration code running on display

Potential Symptoms

  • VIP may be set to DVI input.
  • Display may be running VIP: ($CODE$) on screen and in VIP monitor.
  • Site may be using a 3rd party software.
  • VIP may have a Registration Code in Identification tab.

Cause

  • VIP is not registered in Venus Control Suite (VCS).

Resolution

  • Successfully register the VIP with VCS and the code will no longer play restoring the active display mode.
    • Note: In the event VCS is not used and the code needs to be removed, set your boot sequence of the VIP to none and the code will be hidden and no longer override all display modes when using VIP firmware version b2389 or newer.
