Environment

- Control System: Show Control System (SCS) version 2.18+
Microsoft Excel Worksheet Requirements:
- Enable shared workbook see: About the shared workbook feature ("Shared Workbooks" is an older feature that allows you to collaborate on a workbook with multiple people. )
- Add Shared Workbook buttons to the Quick Access Toolbar
Steps
Upload the Microsoft Excel Worksheet to a local server.
This must be navigable from Data Studio.
Copy the path of the file for future use.
Configure File Data Source
- Login to Data Studio and choose Data Sources from the left side menu.
- Click Add Data Source and select file from the drop down.
- Name- Add a descriptive Name. This is what will be seen in Content Studio's Dynamic Data Library dropdown.
- Address- Paste the file's location.
- The format is Excel. This should automatically fill in once your cursor leaves the path box if it can detect the file.
Configure Feed
- Under Feeds, click the ➕to Select the data properties.
- Check the fields you would like to use.
- Select the pencil icon to edit the source details.
- Feed Name = Best practice is to use the worksheet tab name but can be anything. This shows up as the top-level folder in Content Studio.
- Output by- Use rows if you have rows of objects in your data sheet.
- Include Headers- it is advised to choose yes from the dropdown.
Orientation
Define the direction of the data flow in respect to the headers.

Headers
My table contains a header refers to whether or not the table has a header included in the data set.
If your table has headers, choosing yes will show the header in the content editor.
