M-Series Software Bridge: Cannot add M-Bridge in devices section. Bridge not associated to account.

Potential Symptoms

  • Cannot add M-Bridge as device for display.

Environment

Cause

  • The M-Bridge has not been associated to the account.

Resolution

Associate M-Bridge in VCS account via the Displays App.

Note this can only be done under the Admin account, or you can Call Daktronics for assistance.

  1. Open Venus Display App from the Apps Menu located in the top right of the VCS landing page.
  2. On the Displays page, click on the related display. 
  3. Select Devices.
  4. Click on the 🔽 and choose Add Bridged Device from the dropdown menu.
  5. Choose your Bridge from the list of them in the popup.
    1. It is best to have the GUID of the M-Series Bridge to assure the correct bridge is being used.
  6. Add the details for the display itself and chose Confirm.
  7. Click the Save button on the upper left of the Display's App.

Legacy Process - No longer available as of 9/17/2024

  1. Log into VCS account.
  2. Go to Displays App
  3. Go to settings.  2024-10-23_15-14-52.png 
  4. Select Bridge association, and search for the GUID of the Bridge. (If you do not know your device GUID, please call Daktronics Technical assistance.)
  5. Once found Select it by checking the box to the left and click on "Associate Selected".
  6. Then you can go back to your Displays tab to associate it to your display needed.
