VFC Controller: How to update firmware on a VCB

How do I send the firmware to the VCB Display Interface board using the VFC controller?

Steps
Method 1: Updating locally with a USB memory stick.
- Download the VCB Display Interface firmware(s) Link to VCB firmware to your memory stick. Choose VFC-DMP505x.
- Download the files that the arrows here indicate
- Insert the memory stick into J3 on the back of the VFC. (Kingston brand is preferred, other brands might not work)
- Log into the VFC by pressing enter on the keypad.
- Enter the password and press enter again.
- Select Shared.
- Select Update.
- Select Display.
- Select DD2295229_vcb_ii_micro_production_bootload_hid1F00.hex
- Select Confirm.
- Wait for it to say success on all steps. Wait for it to finish 100%.
- Select Shared.
- Select Update.
- Select Display.
- Select DD2295229_vcb_ii_epld_production_bootload_hid1F00.hex
- Select Confirm.
- Wait for it to say success on all steps. Wait for it to finish 100%.
Method 2: Updating remotely through the webpage interface.
- Open an internet browser to log into the VIP board's web interface.
- For assistance accessing the VIP web interface, contact Daktronics Technical Support.
- You will be prompted to enter the username and password in the popup window.
- If credentials are unknown, contact Daktronics Technical Support.
- Select Firmware from the Dashboard.
- Select Update and browse to the VCB micro file. Example: DD2295229_vcb_ii_micro_production_bootload_hid1F00.hex.
- Click on the open button.
- Wait for it to finish 100%.
- Select Update and browse to the VCB epld file. Example: DD2295229_vcb_ii_epld_production_bootload_hid1F00.hex.
- Click on the open button.
- Wait for it to finish 100%.
