- How to set or change presets for Pitch Timers to comply with the rules?
- Rule changes may require customers to increase to the number of stored pitch timer settings.
- Customer with Allsport 1600 series console and cannot use more than 2 pitch timers.
- This article describes how to configure an additional timing preset for All Sport 5010 and All Sport 5100 consoles.
Environment
- Product: Pitch Timers
- Components: All Sport 5100 - All Sport 5100 console uses the 3-button handheld. All Sport 5010 requires manual configuration of 3 pitch clocks through the console. 0A-1196-0311 @1 ALL SPORT 5100 R6 PACE OF GAME KIT includes the 3 button and inserts needed.
- Support of 4th reset on J8 requires an All Sport 5100 with v4.3.3 of the program.
- Control System: Minor league baseball, NCAA baseball

Configure the presets for MiLB (example)
Suggested preset times for MiLB are provided as guidelines. Configure/confirm that the presets are matching the corresponding rule set of your conference/association.
Turn on the All Sport and enter code: 5001
Preset 1:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PRESET 1>
- Press <0><1><5> followed by <ENTER>. For 15 second time*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
- Press <PRESET 1> to see time entered display
Preset 2:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PRESET 2>
- Press <0><2><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 20 second time*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
- Press <PRESET 2> to see time entered display
Preset 3:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PRESET 3>
- Press <2><2><5> followed by <ENTER>. For 2:25 time.
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
- Press <PRESET 3> to see time entered display
*Time less than one [1] minute includes a leading zero [0]
Configure the presets for NCAA (example)
Configure/confirm that the presets are matching the corresponding rule set of your conference/association.
Non-Conference games (example)
- 20 seconds between pitches
- 2 minutes (120 seconds) between half innings.
Appendix F of NCAA Rulebook -This is an example of rules and how they would apply to the presets.)
- 0:20 (20 seconds) between pitches
- 2:00 (120 seconds) between half innings
- 2:30 (150 seconds) between half innings for relief pitcher
- 0:30 (30 seconds) between batters, mount visit, or offensive timeout (permissive)
Preset configuration (example)
Turn on your All Sport 5100 series console and choose code 5001 for Pitch timer.
Preset 1:
- Press <EDIT>.
- Press <PRESET 1>.
- Press <0><2><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 20 second time.*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time.
- Press <PRESET 1> to see time entered display.
Preset 2:
- Press <EDIT>.
- Press <PRESET 2>.
- Press <2><0><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 2:00 time.*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time.
- Press <PRESET 2> to see time entered display.
Preset 3:
- Press <EDIT>.
- Press <PRESET 3>.
- Press <2><3><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 2:30 time.*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time.
- Press <PRESET 3> to see time entered display.
Preset 4:
Support of 4th reset on J8 requires v4.3.3 of the program.

- Press <PRESET 4>.
- Press <0><3><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 30 second time.*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time.
- Press <PRESET 4> to see time entered display.

Add more presets as needed by using the above steps as an example.

Next Step is to assign each PRESET to a PROGRAM
PROGRAM is to ensure that only one (1) PRESET will run for each PROGRAM button.
Program 1:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PROGRAM 1>
- Press <0><1> followed by <ENTER>
- Press <0><0> followed by <ENTER>
- Press <PROGRAM 1> to see Preset 1 on display
Program 2:
1. Press <EDIT>
Repeat above steps to create others.
Operation
All Sport 5010- During operation, the timing can be manually input via the console.
All Sport 5100- The new presets can now be used on the handheld controller by clicking on P1, P2, P3. Any additional presets can be controlled manually from the All Sport 5100 console.
