Steps
Setting a Default Zone Transition
The default zone transition will work for any play or playlist command and Quick Display container triggered content. It is recommended to create a separate script button for default zone transitions or incorporate the command(s) in your startup script button(s). DMP-8000 Play Command scripts can also use individual transitions instead of the default, as outlined below.
- Create a new script button within a scripting container. This will be a default zone transition script button. After this button is pressed, any content played within the zone where the transitions was applied will use the entry transition specified. The same default transition will also apply to items in a quick display playlist for that particular zone.
- To start a line of script, select the + icon in the bottom left of the newly created button. Give the button a name. Examples for this application would be Default Fade Zone Transition, Default Cube Zone Transition, etc. You might also include all of your default zone transition script lines into a single button and name it Default Zone Transitions - All.
In Step 2, choose the zone for the transition.
In Step 3, scroll down and choose Set Zone Transition
In Step 4, choose the transition and the duration. The duration will be the time for the transition to complete. Some of the transition options also include direction, such as up, down, left, and right.
- Click save, and then click the button to test.
- To verify this is working, play content via script or playlist button and look for the transitions at the beginning.
The steps for creating a default transition are demonstrated below:
Incorporating a Transition on a Play Command
In addition to being able to set a default transition for a zone, you can also choose a unique, or independent, transition for an individual play command script. For example, if you wanted a particular sponsor graphic to enter with a Push Up transition, but the default for that zone is Fade, you could accomplish this by applying the Push Up transition in the individual sponsor button.
