  1. Log into Venus Control Suite Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
  2. Select Scheduling from the My Apps menu.

Click on the arrows to expand each section

Create a new playlist or locate an existing. 

New playlist

  1. From the Playlist Page, click Add New to create a new playlist.
  2. Pick the appropriate type of playlist from the dropdown.

Existing playlist

Filters: Use one or a combination filter tools to help locate a specific playlist.  

  • Sort Order- choose from the dropdown to sort by modified date or alphabetical order.   
  • Account - locate existing playlists associated with a specific account.   
  • Display- locate existing playlists associated with a specific display or No Displays
  • Zone- If your display has different layouts. it is helpful to narrow the search by zone. 
  • Media- locate existing playlists associated with a specific media file. Venus Scheduling: How do I find playlists that have the same media files?
  • Attribute buttons- Sort by any of the following:  Active, Inactive, Expired, Conditions, Look Change, Exclusive.  These buttons are depended on the playlists.

To clear the filters, click on the red X icon.

Add media
  1. Click + in the top corner of the Media Files tile. The Select Media menu will slide-out from the right side. 
  2. Locate the desired media file using the filter options. The media filter can limit results using file title, modified date, account name, association, file type, dimension, and associated tags.
  3. Select the desired media file(s) from the list within the Select Media menu by clicking +. The Media files list will populate with the selected media files. 
    1. Remove a media file from the list by clicking +, or remove all media files by clicking Remove All
  4. Click on the X in the top right corner to close the slide-out.

Media properties

First media item

  1. Under Media Files, click on the thumbnail of the first piece of content.
  2. Click Set Custom Date Range from the Playlist Item Constraints window.
  3. Enter in the last date you would like content to run all day.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter in the Final End Date for the first piece of content as February 7th.
  4. Click Confirm.

Second media item

  1. Under Media Files, click on the thumbnail of the second piece of content.
  2. Click Set Custom Date Range from the Playlist Item Constraints window.
  3. Enter in the day of the event for the Initial Start and End Date.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter the Start and End Dates as February 8th.
  4. Click on Set Custom Time Range.
  5. Under Daily End Time enter the time of the event or the time you would like content to stop running.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter the Daily End Time as 6:30PM.
  6. Click Confirm.
Add displays
  1. Click + next to Displays to select the displays the new playlist will appear on.
  2. A right side-out should appear that lists your account's displays. 
  3. Select the displays.  A check mark identifies which display(s) you have selected and generates a list under the Displays tile.
  4. Click on the X in the top right corner to close the slide-out.

Note: Only Active playlists will be sent to the selected display(s).
