When Al Kurtenbach and Duane Sanders founded Daktronics back in 1968, their main goal was to provide valuable job opportunities for graduates in South Dakota. We maintain their commitment to this mission by offering internships and student positions that often lead to full-time jobs – we call this the Student Pipeline.

Historically, we’ve primarily focused on colleges in eastern side of the state, being that our corporate headquarters is in Brookings. But, we’ve identified a need to increase our recruitment of engineering talent and decided to venture westward to connect with students from the South Dakota Mines.

These positions offer hands-on experience in multiple areas of engineering, and the schedule is flexible to fit around your college courses each semester.

Our brand-new facility in Rapid City gives these students a place to gather and learn to navigate a workplace culture. This space provides over 1,200 square feet with drop-in desk areas and lab space that supports 8-10 people.

Global Recruitment

Though we place a heavy emphasis on recruiting South Dakota students, we also offer remote positions for those attending universities across the U.S. and near our Ireland and Shanghai offices.
