We all know that zero comes after one when counting down. But what happens when you are counting up? Does the clock ever stop?
Soccer, or Football as they call it around the World, uses the All Sport 5000 controller for the main clock to count up. In most cases, the first half starts at 00:00 and counts up to 45:00. To alleviate the need for the operator to stop the clock right at 45:00, we can set the clock to stop automatically.
First, make sure you input the correct code for your league. Then press the ‘Count Up/Down’ key on your console. Select ‘1’ for count up. Next, press the ‘Set Main Clock’ key twice. Enter the desired first half time, typically 45:00, and press ‘Enter’. Now you are ready for the first half of the game!
The process to configure the second half is similar, however, the clock needs to start at the end of the first half, which in this example is 45:00. Press the ‘Set Main Clock’ key twice and enter the desired total game length. For example, each half is 45:00 long so set the clock to 90:00 and press ‘Enter’. Select ‘Set Main Clock’ a single time and enter the desired start time, which is 45:00. The second half of game is now ready!
