Daktronics Launches New Generation of LED Video Walls

The rise of LED has diversified technology options for close viewing applications, giving venues a new digital media solution with longer lifetime, larger size capability and bolder, brighter image quality.
As AV integrators are increasingly adopting LED video technology as a viable alternative to LCD technology, we’ve expanded our indoor product line to include 1.2mm and 1.5mm pixel pitches, bringing to the market a mechanically simple solution with bright, bold image quality.
“Our customers are increasingly demanding higher resolution, bigger display sizes and better image quality in indoor applications,” said Daktronics Product Manager Adam Gilliland. “We’ve invested in our US manufacturing space for streamlined production of this new and improved product generation to provide the quickest and most responsive local support in the industry for our US partners.”
Our narrow pixel pitch product line is assembled from component level to final assembly, including any technical service or parts support, in Brookings, South Dakota. This new generation is easier customize, install and service, with a new generation cabinet and tile design for unique shapes and more brightness options for greater flexibility in different ambient lighting conditions. It also includes seamless alignment features for increased flatness and better thermal management.
As part of the expansion of our narrow pixel pitch product line, we’ve also expanded opportunities to get hands-on with our products through our new narrow pixel pitch certification training program. Through this in-person training, we help integrators maximize revenue and ensure high levels of competency when it comes to properly maintaining customers’ products in a cost-effective manner.
Daktronics has leveraged 20 years of experience with indoor LED video technology to create this new generation of product which brings higher brightness to ensure a crisp, vibrant image when installed in areas receiving more natural and ambient light. It also features improved reliability compared to current industry standards.
