Bringing Direct-view LED Technology to US Military and Government Agencies

A growing number of military and government agencies are turning to direct-view LED as their next generation of audiovisual screen technology for mission-critical applications. Daktronics is proud to serve as the supplier and AV solutions partner for several recent installations in the past year.  

Military and government agencies have a greater need for crisp, clear image quality, even in low light content such as camera feeds. Additionally, these applications need to meet a more scrutinous level of security compared to the average civilian application. Sensitive data communicated every day and cyber threats are a pervasive threat to communications.  

As a trusted display provider to the Department of Defense, Daktronics is uniquely suited to meet these needs in multiple ways. We provide a secure system with all components sending and receiving signal made by us, in our Brookings, South Dakota, facility. 

Image quality on our direct-view LED displays is second to none, with unmatched gray scale reproduction and crisp, seamless image quality. In our recent military projects, several sites were replacing LCD or projector screens and preferred direct-view LED as the next generation update for the ability to see fine details and accurately reproduce images and video.  

Our US military and government solutions are created by Americans for Americans (using global parts) and we employ many active duty and veteran service members in our Brookings and Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Redwood Falls, Minnesota, facilities. This was a key consideration in the recent military installations and Daktronics stood apart from most LED providers in our extensive product development, assembly and support capabilities in the US.
