Unable to Install Content Studio for VCS on computer; Antivirus blocking the Daktronics Venus Client

Potential Symptoms

  • When attempting to install the VenusClientSetup.exe (Content Studio for VCS), get a popup that a Threat was blocked by the antivirus because it was infected with IDP.Generic.
    • There is an option to create an exception but was unable to do so.

Cause

  • Antivirus detecting the Daktronics Venus Client as a threat.

Resolution

  • Work with Antivirus company for solution.

For Temporary Operation

  1. Uninstall Antivirus software.
  2. Install Daktronics Venus Client.
  3. Launch Content Studio from VCS.
