Receive "Request Failed! Invalid number of request parameters." error when trying to use a Quick Display Control

Potential Symptoms

  • When trying to use a Quick Display Control in DakStats, an error pops up that says "Request Failed! Invalid number of request parameters."

  • Nothing happens when clicking a Quick Display Control.
  • When trying to edit or configure the Quick Display Item, one or more of the dropdowns may be empty or show garbage options.

Cause

  • The "interface.ini" file is corrupted.

Resolution

  1. Exit the DakStats software.
  2. Navigate to C:\Daktronics\DakStats Baseball.
  3. Rename the "interface.ini" file to "interface.ini.old".
  4. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\DSTI.
  5. Copy the DakStats Baseball.ini file to C:\Daktronics\DakStats Baseball. Rename the file to be "interface.ini".
  6. Relaunch DakStats and confirm the issue is resolved. You may need to edit the Quick Display Item and reselect the missing items from the drop down.
