VFC: How to update the display firmware package using a VFC controller

Steps

  1. Download the Display Firmware Package.
    1. Go to https://dakfiles.daktronics.com/
    2. Select Transportation.
    3. Select Firmware.
    4. Select VFC-DMP505x
    5. Select the dispfw xxx.x.xx file, this will download the file. Save it to your memory stick.
  2. Insert the memory stick into J3 on the back of the VFC. (Kingston brand is preferred. other brands might not work)
  3. Log into the VFC by pressing enter on the keypad.
  4. Enter the password and press enter again.
  5. Select Shared.
  6. Select Update.
  7. Select dispfw xxx.x.xx-xxxxxxxx.deb
  8. Select Confirm.
  9. Wait for it to finish 100%.
