Show Control System: Display Studio missing content player and other items, software starts from a desktop shortcut

Potential Symptoms

  • Display Studio software starts from a Desktop Shortcut, however, status fly-up in lower left corner is missing the content player and other items.
  • Status indicator is green showing all items should be running.
  • Show Control System: Display Studio Status Error

Cause

  • Shortcut's Start in: field is blank.

Resolution

  • Right click Shortcut.
  • Add the following bold text WITH QUOTES to the Start in: field: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Display Studio\"
  • Click OK.
  • Run Display Studio via updated shortcut.
