VIP-4400, VIP-4500 and VIP-4000: How do I load configuration

Steps

  1. Open the Venus 7000 Shell and then click the VLink icon on the bottom right to open the V7 V-Link Controller. 

  2. From the Sign from the drop down menu select the sign that is associated with the VIP you wish to load configuration for.

  3. Determine the Method used to save the files

    1. Method 1 - Saving of individual files for each Channel

    2. Method 2 - Saving of 1 file for all the channels.

If Method 1 was used to save files, use this section.

  1. Select the VLink Indexed number and select channel 1 from the dropdown box.

  2. Click on Send Configuration Settings, browse to the file for the desired channel and click on the file and press open.  The program will freeze will loading is taking place.  A confirmation box will appear when sending is complete.  Click OK on that box.

  3. Select the VLink Indexed number and select channel 2 from the dropdown box.

  4. Click on Send Configuration Settings, browse to the file for the desired channel and click on the file and press open.  The program will freeze will loading is taking place.  A confirmation box will appear when sending is complete.  Click OK on that box.  Repeat this process for Channels 3 and 4.
    1. Verify settings were taken, some settings did not take, resending a channel may need to occur.

If Method 2 was used to save files, use this section

  1. Select the VLink Indexed number and select channel 1 from the dropdown box.
  2. Click on Send Configuration Settings, browse to the file that contains all of the channel configurations and click on the file and press open.  The program will freeze will loading is taking place.  A confirmation box will appear when sending is complete.  Click OK on that box.

    1. Note:  Using this Method some settings may fail to set more often.  If it fails Manual setting up of the VIP will need to occur.
