Galaxy bridge connected, M-series disconnected. Incorrect controller hardware address in VCS.

Potential Symptoms

  • Communication error for display in Dashboard tab in VCS.
  • On the display tab, M-Series shows "Disconnected" or "This display is not yet active."

  • Bridge appears connected in VCS.

  • "M Series" is Offline, but the Bridge is Online.

Cause

  • Bridge is configured to connect to the correct IP address, but the incorrect Hardware Address.

Resolution

  • Need to change Hardware address that bridge is trying to connect to.  
    1. In Venus Control Suite, go to Displays tab (2nd from bottom on left-hand side).
    2. Click on desired display.
    3. Click on devices on left-hand side.
    4. Clicked on Bridged Device.
    5. Ensure IP or Hostname Address is set to that of the display you wish to connect to.
    6. Ensure the Hardware Address is set correctly.
    7. Once appropriate information is entered, click on Submit.
    8. Go to Dashboard in VCS.
    9. Wait 30-90 seconds for M-Series status to update.
