TriCaster or 3Play system is getting a Blue Screen when booting up.

Potential Symptoms

  • When booting up the TriCaster goes to a blue screen.
  • Getting a blue screen when booting in windows safe mode as well.

Environment

  • Product Family: Video Control Systems
  • Product: DVX 4 input rack
  • Component: TriCaster TCX 460, 3Play video replay systems
  • Control System: Show Controls SCS-4000

Cause

  • Swappable HDD is causing a boot up error.

Resolution

  • Remove the Swappable drive(s) from the front panel to boot up the TriCaster. Then reinstall swappable drive.
  • If the TriCaster continues to get a blue screen when the swappable drive is installed. Reformat the the swappable drive. (Format needs to be NTFS).
