International Fonts for Vanguard Software

How can I get certain fonts to show up when I type a message in Content Studio? For example I want to type in the Arabic language. How can I get the fonts to show up correctly when I type the message?

Steps

  1. You will need to edit the "contentstudio.exe.config" file located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Content Studio\ContentStudio.exe.config
  2. Double click on Contentstudio.exe.config file to open it.
  3. It will open in notepad. on your keyboard press "CNTRL" and "F" buttons at the same time. This will open a small search window. Type Worldtype and press enter.
  4.  You will see the following:<setting name="UseWorldTypeTextEngine" serializeAs="String">
          <value>False</value>
  5. Change the "False" to "True", and save the changes, then close notepad.
  6. If you have security or elevated privilege issues when you try and save the file, then you will have go to the following location, C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Content Studio\ContentStudio.exe.config and copy "Contentstudio.exe.config", and then change the name of the existing file, then paste the one you copied in the same Content Studio folder. This will allow you to do steps 3 through 5.
  7. Once the above is complete. Log into Vanguard software, and open Content Studio. When setting up what type of display to use. You will have to use the "Graphic" option instead of "Text".
  8. Once you are in the message creation part of Content Studio you can only use "true Type Fonts" for your message.
  9. You will need to Change your "Region and Language" settings on your PC to type in the native language you desire.
  10. You will also need to change this for "Quick message". Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Vanguard\V4\Professional, and change the "Central.exe.config. Repeat the above steps 1 through 5.
