Daktronics Nucleus service will not remain started, starts then stops again, Venus 1500 v4

Potential Symptoms

  • When opening Venus 1500 software, getting Nucleus Service could not be started. Nucleus Service failed to load.
  • When checking the computer services, Daktronics nucleus service is not running.
  • Clicking Start Service allows the Daktronics Nucleus service to begin running, but then it stops again by itself.
  • Receiving the error message "Nucleus Service failed to load. at Daktronics.V1500.V4.DSplashScreen.VerifyServices_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)" in Venus 1500 log.
  • There are no errors listed in Windows event viewer.
  • Able to ping localhost and replies from the 127.0.0.1.
