Potential Symptoms

Replacing Fan on the back of a VF-1000 display.

Environment

  • Product Family:  Transportation
  • Product:  VF-1000 display
  • Component:  ventilation fan
  • Control System:  VFC-3000

Resolution

  1. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the ventilation fans.
  2. If applicable: Disconnect the fan's power cord from inside the fluorescent light assembly.
  3. Remove any securing hardware, and then lift the fan from the sign.
  4. Position and attach the replacement fan using #8-32 hardware. Take note of the airflow orientation when attaching the new fan. The air should be forced out of the sign, not coming in.

  6. Reconnect power to the fans and turn the breaker back on.
