Digit and Price Displays: Sapphire Point of Sale system, When rebooting handheld, price appears briefly and blanks
Potential Symptoms
- When re-booting the handheld intermittent results occur.
- The price will appear correctly but briefly on some lines and then blank causing the sign to also blank.
- The price will appear randomly on any one or more of the lines but other lines will remain blank.
- The price will appear correctly but briefly on some lines and then blank causing the sign to also blank.
- Prices that are on the Display or DM-100 handheld will not update when POS increases or decreases prices.
- Unable to update prices through POS system, however manually updating/communicating from DM-100 handheld works with no issues.

Cause
- The point of sale port on the DM-100 handheld has failed.
Resolution
- Replace DM-100 handheld.
