Presentation plays blank at the end when previewing or out on the display in Content Studio; elements not extended to layout

Potential Symptoms

  • Presentation plays blank at the end when previewing or out on the display in Content Studio.
  • When message is playing on display or preview there is a split second that display or preview goes blank then goes to the next message.
  • Background remains after element duration ends, making it look like a blank slide.

Environment

  • Product Family: Message Displays
  • Product: Galaxy, GS6, GalaxyPro
  • Component: Content Studio presentation
  • Control System: Venus 1500 (V4), Venus Control Suite (VCS)

Cause

  • The elements in the layout such as Images, Videos or Text Boxes are not extended out the entire length of the layout.

Resolution

  • Check all the presentations timelines that the blank space appears either before or after.
  1. Launch Content Studio (Content tab -> Create)
  2. Click the Orange V Application Menu -> click Open.
  3. Browse and locate one of the presentations in question.
  4. Click Open.
  5. Click the Timeline tab (bottom left corner).
  6. Is any of the elements that need to play the whole duration of the layout not the full length of the layout?
    • If Yes - Click the gray end (right side end) of the element and click and drag it to the end of the layout.
  7. Click Orange V Application Menu -> click Save.
  8. Re-publish presentation out to the display.
