Resolution

Create the Schedule

  1. Click the "Schedule" button in the V7000 shell.
  2. Create a new schedule and give it a name, then click OK.
  3. Click Edit -> Add Item.
  4. Change type to DIM and adjust the schedule run times then click OK.
  5. Click Edit -> Add Item.
  6. Change type to BRIGHT and adjust the schedule run times then click OK.
  7. Save the file.

Setting Schedule Dimming Values

Activating the Schedule

Schedule can be activated on of the two ways below
Manually
  1. From the Venus 7000 shell click the display button
  2. Click the display button at the top left of the window that opens
  3. Choose the sign from the left and open the directory that the schedule was saved in (ensure that Schedules is selected in the FileTypes drop down in the bottom right corner)
  4. Select the schedule and the click Play Schedule on the top right
Using Scripting Button
  1. Click on the "Display" button on the V7000 Shell.
  2. Select "Scripting" button.
  3. Right click and select "Edit Cell".
  4. Name the script button to Bright/Dim or whatever is wanted displayed on the button.
  5. Right click the newly created button and select "Edit Script File".
  6. Click "Add Line" button.
  7. Select "PlaySchedule" then click next.
  8. Select sign the script is to send to then click next.
  9. Select the Path of the previously created Dimming Schedule then click next.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Set the display to scheduled dimming (reference Venus 7000: How do I adjust the Brightness / Dimming of my display? if needed)
  12. Click the newly created Script file for dimming the displays and the schedule should start playing.
