What is a "Zone" in a DMS Player?

Steps

 A "Zone" in DMS player is a segmented section of the screen.  Mainly used to provide a dedicated section of the display to "special content" such as Weather or a news ticker.

Full Screen Zones are also common in many applications.  Below is an example of a 1X4 Menu board (7680px1080p) where the 4x 1920x1080 physical screens are broken up into 6 zones.
