NC1 Studio Input Module: How to Configure Inputs and Outputs on Daktronics System

On a Vixrt/ NewTek NC1 Studio system, how do you configure the inputs and outputs on the Input Module?

Steps

Note: Access the NC1 using a KVM user station, or Bomgar. The NC1 runs on a Windows desktop computer similar to TriCaster and 3Play.

Setting up Key/Fill outputs for NC1 & NC2 I/O; Connect Pro (site.com)
  1. Close the NC1 user interface using the X in the top-right corner to reveal the Windows desktop.
  1. From the Start menu, open the NC1 Configurator.
  1. The IO Configuration tab shows the nine available configurations for the mini BNC connections on the back panel of the NC1. Select the configuration that fits the design and requirement of the project and choose Launch.

  • I/O Configuration tab of the NC1 IO Configurator. Inputs are illustrated in blue, outputs in red, and genlock (listed as "reserved" in green)
  • Note: Inputs and outputs are color coded.
  1. Re-open the NC1 Software
If you did not close the software to begin with, be sure to restart the NC1 software after making changes or the device will not work properly.
