Content Studio: What fonts are available?

Steps

  1. You can find and use both True Type and Venus fonts in the Venus Control Suite version of Content Studio as well as in the online Web Presentation/Web Editor in Venus Control Suite.  The online Web Presentation /Web Editor was updated to include all of the supported fonts for use on GS6/GC6 displays. The fonts are listed below:

  2. For Content Studio however, you will first need to ensure that you are updated to the latest version by following the below steps.  By updating to the latest version of Content Studio you will be given access to all of the supported fonts for use on GS6/GC6 displays.
    1. Find what version of Content Studio you currently have installed.
      1. Select the Media tab from the Venus Control Suite menu.
      2. Click on the arrow next to the blue Upload button and select the New Content Studio Presentation in the drop down.
      3. When the Content Studio Login box appears enter your User Name and Password. 
        • These are the same as your Venus Control Suite Login information.
      4. Content Studio will now open in a separate window.
      5. Click on the Application Menu (Blue Venus Control Suite logo) in the upper left corner of Content Studio.
      6. Click on the Content Studio Options button on the bottom of the Application Menu.
      7. Click on About on the left side of the Daktronics Content Studio Options window.
      8. Click on the Version tab.
      9. Confirm that you are running the latest version of Content Studio under the columns Product Version and Version.
        • Product Version should be 2.8 or later
        • Version should be 2.8 or later
      10. If you are running Product Version/Version 2.8, then you have the updated fonts list for Content Studio.

    2. Update Content Studio to the latest version.
      1. Visit http://www.daktronics.com/en-us/support/venus-control-suite/download.
      2. Click the orange Download button.
      3. Save the setup file to an easy-to-find location on your computer (i.e. your Desktop).
      4. Run the installation file and follow the prompts to install the software on your machine. 
        • During the installation you will be prompted to reboot.  After the reboot, when the computer comes back online you will be prompted to complete the installation.
      5. Once the installation process is complete your fonts list in Content Studio will be updated to include all supported fonts.
