  • How do I set a Galaxy display to DHCP?

Environment

  • Products: GS6, GT6
  • Components: Daktronics Remote Display Configuration (DRDC), VIP-5060, VIP-5050
  • Control System:

Steps

  1. Log into the Daktronics Remote Display Configuration for the VIP.  See How to Access the Daktronics Remote Display Configuration utility, DD3339916 for details.
  2. Change the IP settings.
    • Note: Daktronics recommends leaving the display at DHCP if possible as it makes the system plug and play, but if a static is required, it is important to set a primary and secondary DNS on the controller also. When a public DNS service is set on the VIP, the network will need to allow UDP traffic on port 53 for the display.
    • Note: The process to change IP information will look one of two ways depending on firmware version in use.

👇Click on the arrows to expand each section.

New interface process
  1. Click the Network tile on the dashboard.
